"Salvem les Fotos" is a programme focused in rescuing and protecting the records and family treasures damaged by the DANA.
The five public Valencian universities under the name Culture Network of Public Valencian Universities, the GE-IIC, ICOM and the ETNO lead the project ‘Salvem les Fotos', initially started by the Universitat de València.
Their objective: rescuing the photo albums and the photos damaged by the DANA, thus contributing to the safekeeping of its familiar and collective memory. For this reason the work is done collaboratively and in interdisciplinary teams which bring together, among others, curators, restaurateurs, art historians, photographers or experts in documentation and digitalisation of heritage.
The work is being done at the laboratories from our universities and at the field laboratories erected on the affected zones
